Featherweights Calvin Kattar and Arnold Allen headlined, with Allen entering undefeated. The main event ended early, after a Kattar bizzarely injured himself attempting a flying knee. A planned Ilia Topuria vs. Edson Barboza bout was scrapped after Barboza withdrew with a knee injury. Topuria would instead fought two months later against Bryce Mitchell at UFC 282.
