The UFC finally landed in Qatar after the event was canceled in May 2025. The headliner featured Arman Tsarukyan’s comeback fight after not competing since April 2024, as he took on Dan Hooker, who was coming off an upset win over Mateusz Gamrot. In the co-main event, Ian Machado Garry looked to earn a title shot with a win over former Champion Belal Muhammad. Kyoji Horiguchi also returned to the promotion.
