The main event saw Middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi defend his title against Welterweight king Rory MacDonald, who was bidding to become Bellator’s first simultaneous two-division champion. Mousasi secured a dominant second-round TKO victory. Significant as Bellator's DAZN debut, the card also hosted the fourth Rampage Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva clash and the Welterweight Grand Prix opener.
