UFC 316 was headlined by a Bantamweight rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley. Dvalishvili had convincingly won their first meeting in September 2024. The highlight of the night was Dvalishvili earning his first finish since 2021 and his first submission since 2017. Kayla Harrison also dominated Julianna Peña, becoming the first former PFL fighter to cross over to the UFC and win a title. She would then face off with Amanda Nunes in the aftermath, setting up their fight at UFC 324.
