Chad Mendes vs Conor McGregor

My all time favorite event… The wild fights and KO’s to open the card The co-main was the best fight in UFC history in my opinion. This fight changed Rory forever and that sucks, but his combos at the end of R3 and beginning of R4 are some of the most lethal stuff I’ve seen in the sport. Don’t know how Robbie survived it, but he’s such an animal. Greatest fight ever And to me… this was the peak of Conor in the UFC. I know his fame got bigger, and he had better performances against Aldo and Eddie. But this was when I think everyone realized Conor wasn’t just a talented gimmick, he was the real deal. Even though Chad was on short notice, he was still a bad stylistic matchup for Conor. But the live performance walkouts were the best I’ve ever seen, this main event just had a different aura to it. The energy on this one just felt like the peak of the Irish hype in the ufc, before Conor became bigger than the brand and still had the absolute support of the people. It also has my all time favorite quote from UFC history by Joe Rogan… “Very few human beings will ever experience what is going on in the mind and body of Conor McGregor as he steps into this octagon right now.” Absolute chills
