Norbert Novenyi Jr. vs Theo Haig

Off the start these guys show their skill level and set a high pace. They swap back and forth pushing each other all across the octagon. Both guys mix their strikes up really well. Conner legs kicks and counters are money but Guaylupo comes forward with a steady pressure and lands heavy shots. Very impressive combos from Conner mixup his strikes with elbows, kicks and knees. Really nice stuff but Guaylupo’s defense in great and his boxing is lethal. You could kind of see the knock down coming with Conner getting caught by a heavy shot while trying to throw these fancy combos. Conner survives and is able to get some damage off at the end of the round. Sick first round. Guaylupo wants to dominate the fight but his overzealousness keeps putting him in trouble. Conner is staying composed and countering well. Conner slips in nasty little elbows and knees so easily. Guaylupo is a Pitbull man just shaking shots off his guard and throwing with mean intention. Whoever gasses out first is going to be in real trouble and the pace is insanely high. When Guaylupo pushes forward he’s dangerous and forces Conner to counter. But when Guaylupo takes a pause Conner does well to get his crispy kickboxing off. Going to be tough for either of them to get through the last round. Almost no clinch and absolutely no grappling or wrestling. Guaylupo hasn’t really thrown any kicks either. He will throw a spinning body kick every once in a while but this has really been a Muay Thai vs Boxer. Somehow Guaylupo does have a scratch on him yet Conner has thrown so much at him. And somehow Conner’s chin has held up and he’s still dangerous despite taking some bad shots and almost getting finished.
