Two lefties going at it. They both move well and are throwing hard. Dasuyev throws some long combos. Ortega is being active but not enough for the rate Dasuyev is throwing. One of the punches from these combos clips Ortega and drops him but he bounces right up. Dasuyev just marches forward bouncing around and then plants his feet and throws heavy shots. He pushes forward and wobbles Ortega again. They clinch for a moment and then Dasuyev stings him on the break. Ortega is not deterred he is still firing looking fresh. Dasuyev is slowing a bit but still coming forward. Ortega is dropped again to start round 2 and then Dasuyev attempts the guillotine. Somehow Ortega survives and they trade shots in the clinch for a bit. Dasuyev has slowed and gotten sloppy but is still controlling the fight. Ortega throws a flying knee and looks like he hurts his leg but has a lot of success afterwards. Keeping Dasuyev against the fence landing nice strikes. Dasuyev regains his compose and start coming forward pushing Ortega back and going for a takedown. It’s denied and they both look tired. Ortega strikes first and has a nice moment then Dasuyev gets in on a takedown and lands it but Ortega pops up and marches forward. They trade to end the round. These guys have put some damage on each other. Ortega is the fresher fighter by far. Dasuyev immediately takes the retreat and lets Ortega move forward. They continue to trade with Ortega pushing forward and Dasuyev standing with his back to the fence looking to counter. Dasuyev has some success to the body and then decides he’s ready to go forward now. They’re both gassed and trade to end the fight. Very rough fight. Could go either way but Dasuyev knocked him down so many times. Good win for Dasuyev but nice performance for Ortega.
