Frankie Edgar vs Chad Mendes

Wow. This can be summed up easily. Violence. Edson Barboza bounces around with his high shell, he throws shotgun blasts of leg and body kicks while peppering his jab. He mixes in head kicks and big spinning attacks throughout the fight. He honestly lands at a better rate and the better shots for the start of this fight. But good grief El Cucuy just marches ya down. Tony slips forward with big bobbing motions slipping out of the way of Barboza’s power shots. He throws weird long combos that seem to never end with his movement. He doubles up his jabs, throws multiple elbows, he forces you backwards and runs forward. For a little while Barboza’s style matches up well with Tony’s. Tony moves forward right into Barboza’s power and Barboza lands some stingers. But Tony evades well and even if he doesn’t has incredible durability, endurance, and pace. Tony throws a thousand shots and Barboza can’t dodge them all, he sneaks in a few hard shots but starts getting overwhelmed by Tony. Barboza gets cracked and gets cut by Tony, he shoots in and Tony snatches up Darce choke. Incredible match making I think No.5 vs No.6 at the time and a banger of fight.
