Brady Hiestand vs Rinya Nakamura

Vieira immediately and swiftly slips into a single leg and gets a takedown in the first 5 seconds of the fight. He controls from top slowly grinding his was past the guard. Bryczek goes to bump him away but Vieira uses it to get mount. He peppers Bryczek and looks for the arm triangle and seems to want a smother choke. Bryczek defends, spins to his back, and shrimps away to his feet. Vieira gets him in the clinch, gets a body lock, and then another takedown. Vieira settles in a half back mount spot. He doesn’t get much offense off whether it be strikes or submission attempts but he seems content staying in the position just grinding Bryczek down. They start the second trading a bit but not long before Vieira shoots in. Bryczek defends well but still gets pushed back. A low blow is landed and Bryczek takes a long break. Once they return Vieira doesn’t seem super eager to initiate the grappling again. They trade to end the round. Vieira wants to strike and is trying but Bryczek is far more comfortable and capable on the feet. Bryczek seems like the fresher fighter and is able to stop Vieira’s grappling attempts. Bryczek stands with his hands low and land nice clean shots. Vieira is able to get in on the clinch but doesn’t seem to have enough energy to finish anything. Bryczek tries to escape but can’t and the fight ends there. Not too impressed with Vieira but he probably won every round. Judges agree and Vieira gets the win.
