Umar Nurmagomedov vs Song Yadong

Started off as expected with both fighters feeling one another out and dealing leg kicks and Song landed the first headshot pretty solid. There was an even amount of back and forth from both fighters until Umar landed his first takedown, Song went for a choke and failed but- this is where we knew that Song had the ability to defend against Nurmagomedov. He was eventually able to escape the takedown and get back to the feet where he could be successful. Song was able to land a few more significant strikes before the end of the round. Round 2- standing striking between the two with an even amount landed until about 3:15 left in round 2. Umar went for a takedown when Song caught him with an upper-cut! Boom! KO! Shanghai erupts louder than I’ve ever heard any arena! And Song runs into the crowd to celebrate his victory with his fellow China Mann!
