Conor McGregor has been accused of rape at an NBA Finals Game. His team has denied the allegations.
Conor McGregor is at the center of controversy again; this time, it's a rape accusation. McGregor's representatives have stated that the "Allegations are false" and that McGregor will not be intimidated, according to TMZ Sports, who first reported the incident.
The alleged incident occurred at the Kaseya Center in Florida after an NBA finals game between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat on June 9th. This was the same game where McGregor appeared in a halftime skit where he punched the Heat mascot.
According to a letter authored by attorney Ariel Mitchell, McGregor "violently" sexually assaulted a woman inside of a men's bathroom. In the letters, Mitchell said "Security refused to let [the woman] exit or allow anyone else, including her friend, inside the bathroom." The lawyer then claims McGregor emerged from inside of a handicap stall "and shoved his tongue in the victim's mouth and aggressively kissed her."
The letter states that the woman was able to get McGregor off of her by telling him she had to urinate, but McGregor allegedly forced her to have oral sex with him.
In the letters sent following the woman's meeting with cops, Mitchell said the woman is seeking settlements with the NBA, the Heat, and McGregor in lieu of litigation.
Again, it's important to note that McGregor's team has vehemently denied these allegations.
