Rnd 1: 10-9 Wade, Close Rnd, Pretty close striking with Wade landing some kicks and Islam landing some good punches. Makhachev landed a takedown but quickly got reversed. Had a pretty tight triangle and held it for a while but Wade defended. Wade stayed on top and controlled for the rest of the rnd. Rnd 2: 10-9 Makhachev, Dominated this rnd. Makhachev landed a quick straight left and goes for the single leg, Wade catches a guillotine and reverse the position. Makhachev and both landed a couple of reverse trying to go for the sub but Makhachev ends up on top and controlled the rest of the rnd. Rnd 3: 10-9 Makhachev, Even More dominant rnd here. Makhachev lands a couple of 1-2s, gets the takedown again. Wade reversed once with the kimura and had a guillotine but Makhachev quickly reversed back and defended both easily. Dominated the rest of the rnd controlling and had the back for a while. Total: 29-28 Islam Makhachev Resume: Makhachev showed some ok boxing, great takedowns and scrambles. Pretty good at controlling the positions. Great Cardio. Took some risk with the positions tho and got reversed a couple of times. Got caught in some bad sub attempts too. Wade showed some ok kickboxing, good leg kicks and some good combos with kicks. Very good scrambles and a sneaky submission game. Couldnt keep up with the pace tho.
