Matt Hughes vs Carlos Newton

Rnd 1: 10-9 Hughes. Blocked the only takedown and got on top. Controlled the entirety of the Rnd. Advanced positions and landed some good GnP. Newton almost had an armbar and defended well on the ground but thats pretty much it. Rnd 2: 10-8 Hughes. Dominant. Landed a couple of takedowns. Controlled almost the entire rnd. Advanced positions and landed GnP. Landed huge elbows from the crucifix position. Rnd 3: 10-9 Hughes. Newton with the urgency on the feet trying to land big and Hughes gets under a hook and takes him down. Dominates and lands GnP while advancing positions. Big knees to the body from side control. Gets the mount and lands huge punches. Goes for an armbar, Newton defends and reverses. Gets the back and kees it until the end but not enough to win the rnd. Rnd 4: Hughes quickly gets the single leg. Gets to side control and slowly to the crucifix. Lands huge punches and elbows until he gets the finish. Resume: Hughes showed Great wrestling. Great control. Heavy GnP. Great at advancing positions. Very strong. GnP from every positions. Grinder. Cardios great. Striking was lacking a bit. Naked kicks and slow punches. Newton showed nice defense but couldnt hold it up. Nice moment on the ground, pretty slick but had nothing for him. Fast hands too
