Randy Couture vs Ricco Rodriguez

Rnd 1: 10-9 Couture. Landed a beautiful trip. Controlled longer and landed the better punches on the feet with some good body/leg kicks. Rodriguez also landed a takedown and had some control. Controlled theclinch and landed some good knees to the body in there. Rnd 2: 10-9 Couture. Almost 10-8. Took him down twice. Landed some good punches and elbows from full and half guard. Hurt Rodriguez’s knee while taking him down. Controlled the entire rnd. Rnd 3: 10-9 Rodriguez. Couture lands a takedown again but Rodriguez reverses and control the other half of the rnd. Landed lots of short elbows. Couture got a reverse at the end but too little too late. Rnd 4: 10-8 Rodriguez. This time he lands a takedown and dominates. Lands huge punches and elbows from full guard to top mount. Couldve finished it at the end but stupidly went for an armbar. Rnd 5: Couture lands a couple good punches and Rodriguez gets him down. Beats him up from full guard with elbows until Couture couldnt take it anymore. Resume: Rodriguez showed brutal GnP with his elbows. Great wrestling and Great cardio. Pretty fast on the feet but was lacking boxing wise and was getting caught. Had some good flying knees. Nice knees in the clinch too Couture showed Very good wrestling too. Once he gets under he has nothing and gets lost. Couldnt keep up with the pace. Surprisingly better hands in this fight. Still a bad striker tho. Some solid kicks too to the body and the legs.
