The current UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion, Alex Pereira, was front row at the UFC 297 press conference. The main event will see a familiar foe and now friend of Pereira, Sean Strickland, take on the #2 ranked Middleweight contender Dricus du Plessis. When du Plessis asked about facing Pereira next, he responded.

Strickland chimed in as well, appeasing the Canadian fans by shooting a jab at du Plessis.
