In a battle of undefeated Welterweights, Shavkat Rakhomonov came out on top after five rounds against Ian Machado Garry in the UFC 310 co-main event.
The first few rounds saw a lot of clinching, with very few significant strikes landing, although it was clear Rakhmonov was getting the better of the exchanges. The third round saw Garry have success striking from range, landing a lot of hard kicks on Rakhmonov's legs and body. In the fourth round, Rakhmonov secured a takedown for the first time in the fight, where he would go on to control most of the round and land some shots from the top. The final round saw Garry take the back and nearly lock in a rear naked choke several times before Rakhmonov escaped and forced a clinch until the final bell.
